Rolled Gold Albert Chains were very popular in Victorian and Edwardian times, they are a luscious and affordable alternative to solid gold Alberts. Rolled Gold is produced by rolling gold very thin and then forming a tube from the material, the tube can then be formed into objects such as jewellery and in this case gentleman's Albert chains. The advantage is that the tubular form gives the object strength yet has far less gold in it than a solid gold version. Our rolled gold has a wonderful warm tone to it by the addition of a small amount of copper, the extra copper improves the strength of the chain links while making a gold Albert about 1/8th of the cost of a solid gold version. They are all supplied in a tan leather presentation case with a silver2love warranty card.
